Kat Jackson
Kat Jackson has called Salida home since 1999 when she moved to this beautiful Rocky Mountain community from Santa Fe, New Mexico. How did she choose Salida as "home"? She will tell you that she wanted to raise her children in a community with heart and integrity and so chose Salida. She will also enthusiastically share that indeed the little city with the "Heart on the Hill" did provide a wonderful place for her children to grow up.
When you move to Salida you move to a town of new friends", says Kat. "That may sound a little idealistic, but it's so true....just ask anyone who has relocated here." Kat loves that Salida is a town that is still becoming, she loves that you can volunteer and make a difference, she loves the diversity in cultural population and she loves the mix of outdoor recreation and fine arts.
Kat comes to Real Estate Counseling from a long career in Hotels and Hospitality. She worked for Hilton Hotels in Wyoming and New Mexico and has owned several restaurants of her own, including one in downtown Salida. She is fond of observing, "I've been welcoming people to Salida for a long time. Now I just invite them to stay longer!" The relationship based value that Pinon Real Estate Group extends to both its customers and its employees is what attracted Kat to Pinon Real Estate Group. She was elected "New Realtor of the Year" in 2006. Kat and her business partner, Janet Franz work with diligence and commitment for their clients.
Working on the Chaffee County Land Trust Board and the Collegiate Peaks Forum Series Board are Kat's current volunteer passions. She loves good conversation, travel, reading, hiking, spending time with her kids and friends and spiritual contemplation.
Kat's favorite life motto is "Wherever you go, go with all your heart." She would welcome the opportunity to put her heartfelt effort and enthusiasm towards helping you realize your real estate needs.
